An injectable Vitamin D3 supplement for cattle to aid in the prevention of hypocalcaemia (Milk Fever).
Active ingredient
- Cholecalciferol 25mg/mL
- Equivalent to 1 million IU/mL
Indications (uses)
For the prevention of hypocalcaemia (Milk Fever) in pregnant cattle.
Dosage and administration
For use only under the direction of a registered veterinary surgeon
Administer 10mL via intramuscular injection 8 to 2 days before calving date. A second dose should be administered if calving is later than 8 days following initial injection.
If possible, inject into muscle tissue on side of neck.
Storage
Store below 25°C (Air conditioning). Protect from light.
Withholding periods
- Milk: Nil
- Meat: Nil
Warnings and contraindications
- For intramuscular injection only.
- Avoid injecting of animals in wet weather or under dusty conditions.
- Avoid carcass damage.
